Reservations Required

Pierce County is currently in Phase 2 of Governor Inslee’s Roadmap to Recovery so reservations are required for pool activities.

MAKE A RESERVATION VIEW POOL SCHEDULES

Reservations for each time slot will open 2 weeks prior, so more dates are added to the reservation system on a rolling basis.

  • Lap Swim
  • Water Fitness
  • Adult Swim
  • Family Swim
  • Toddler Zone

Cost: Reservations are free to all but capacity is limited.
Cancelations: PLEASE CANCEL your reservation if you are not going to use it so that someone else may claim your spot.
Reservation limits: Family Swim: only one booking per family per week. All other activities are limited to one reservation per day or 3 per week.

Waitlist: If all spots are booked you may add yourself to the waiting list. There is no limit to the number of people who can join the waitlist. When a spot opens up all waitlisted customers receive an email notification that a spot has opened. The first person to book the spot gets it.

COVID-19 guidelines: Please cancel your reservation if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms of any illness. Face coverings are required at all times within our facilities except while you are in the pool. When in the pool please remain at least 6 feet away from people outside your household.

Locker Room and Shower Info:

  • We recommend wearing a suit to the pool to expedite pre-swim time
  • Soap showers are required prior to entry into pool
  • Lockers will not be available, so bring items onto the pool deck
  • Locker room showers will not be available after the swim session, so please be sure to bring towel to dry off
  • The pool will be cleared between each 45 minute reservation for cleaning and sanitation
  • Masks are required when not in the water
  • Maintain 6 feet in and out of the water

After an extended closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Parks Tacoma’s four community centers and three pools are poised to reopen to the public with limited operations.

Community Centers will reopen on these dates:

  • People’s Center: Monday, April 19
  • Center at Norpoint: Tuesday, April 20
  • STAR Center: Monday, April 26
  • Eastside Community Center: Monday, April 26

Pools will reopen on on these dates:

  • People’s Pool: Monday, April 19
  • Norpoint Pool: Tuesday, April 27
  • Eastside Pool: TBD
