Description

Have a Look at Coding (HAL) is for Kids and Teens and is an expanded version of the Digital Media Lab’s popular Kids Code Club. It builds upon a student’s innate interest in gaming and computer technologies. Students will focus on core areas of computer programming in a self-paced, supportive environment.

For kids ages 8-12, HAL offers guided learning and individual exploration using various coding tools. Children will develop familiarity with general syntax and logical operations with class activities and demonstrations.

For teens 13 and up, HAL delves deeper into the logic of computer programming. Core topics include software/hardware engineering, web-enabled languages such as HTML/CSS and javascript, Linux, and software development using open-source and conventional operating systems.
