It’s hard to believe, but plans are already in full swing for U.P.’s beloved holiday tradition, the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Market Square.
This year's celebration will take place on Friday, Dec. 6 from 4:30- 7:30 p.m. As in years past, there will be food, music, children’s activities and much, much more.
Santa will arrive on a West Pierce Fire & Rescue engine at 5 p.m. before joining U.P. City Council members for the countdown to the lighting of the tree at 6 p.m. He will also be available for photos in the Civic Building Atrium from 5-7 p.m.
Watch for event updates with details about the activities, food trucks and treats that will be part of this truly special event in University Place.
