Pierce Summer LIFE (Leadership Instruction & Field Experience) offers a unique opportunity for local youth aged 13-17 to enhance their social connections and life skills through engaging outdoor activities. This program, hosted by Pierce County Parks, focuses on experiential learning to foster leadership qualities, improve social skills, and nurture a healthy interest in oneself, the environment, and the community. Participants will have the chance to meet various activity providers, ensuring they have the resources to pursue their passion for outdoor recreation even after the program concludes.
- Pre-registration is required for all activities and field trips.
- All activities including field trips will begin and end at Sprinker Recreation Center.
- Helmets, gear, and/or equipment are provided.
- Fee:
- Field trips are $10/person per field trip
- On-site activities are Free
- Scholarships Available

Scholarships for Pierce Summer Life activities are based on income and family size and are available to Pierce County residents that qualify. Applicants are encouraged to begin the online application process a week in advance of the trip desired by selecting the scholarship application button below:
