About the Event
This annual event takes place on Dune Peninsula and Cummings Park on Ruston Way and features two distinct event footprints, over 150 vendors, 2 stages and a 20-minute firework display. This event is the largest free community event in the South Sound.

Celebrate Independence Day with a Fireworks display on Commencement Bay!
- The Emerald Queen Casino fireworks show is presented by the City of Tacoma
- Firework display on Commencement Bay to take place at dark (approx 10 pm). It will be visible along all of Ruston Way!
The fireworks display will launch from a barge about 3,000 feet offshore from Cummings Park, maximizing prime visibility from most parks along the Ruston Way Waterfront, from Dune Peninsula Park in the north to Jack Hyde Park in the south.

Kids Zoneat Cummings Park Entertainment created especially for kids will be bursting from the Kids Zone at Cummings Park all day long! Burn off energy with a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course and basketball, and more interactive games.
