Campfires and candlelight provide illumination for this outdoor evening walking tour of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum.

Guests eavesdrop as more than a hundred historical interpreters bring to life the men, women, and children of the Hudson’s Bay Company in the year 1855. Be entertained by songs, dances, and games. During the tours, these people from the past won't be aware of their 21st century visitors.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: Whether you are a visitor, staff, or volunteer with Fort Nisqually, your health is extremely important to us. Enjoying in-person events means that we all have a duty to responsibly change our behavior with a stronger focus on public health and safety. With the rise of the Delta variant, Fort Nisqually will be implementing the following strategies (many of which are already in place) to minimize the risk of COVID-19 during Candlelight Tour:

  • All staff and volunteers will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test for exempted persons
  • All staff and volunteers who interact with visitors will be required to wear masks throughout the event, regardless of vaccination status
  • All visitors will be required to wear masks throughout the event, regardless of vaccination status Sanitizing stations will be set up throughout event spaces for visitor and volunteer use throughout the event
  • If a staff or volunteer is experiencing any suspected COVID-19 symptoms, they will be asked to stay home

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum joins area performance groups in requiring masking and vaccinations or negative COVID-19 testing of all staff and volunteers to ensure a safe and successful return of the arts to the Puget Sound.

Dress for the weather, but NO UMBRELLAS. Also, NO flashlights, NO photography, NO strollers. * Please arrive at Point Defiance Zoo parking lot 15 minutes before your scheduled time. The time on the ticket is the time your bus leaves to go up to the Fort. * WILL CALL tickets will be at the Zoo parking lot. * The actual walking tour takes about an hour.* NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES
