Help Auburn celebrate Earth Day and participate in Clean Sweep! This socially distanced event is just around the corner and you’re invited to volunteer Saturday, April 24 from 9 AM – 12 PM.
Masked and socially distanced volunteer groups will work on general clean-up, landscaping, planting, weeding, litter pick-up and other projects at various parks, trails and other public sites around Auburn. Volunteers must register in advance either online or by downloading the PDF and sending to Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation.
Everybody is welcome to join in the fun! We invite service clubs, social service agencies, faith-based groups, scouting troops, businesses, families, and individuals to come out for the day, work together on some beautification projects, and celebrate Auburn.
Individuals and groups can either choose to participate in a specific project or we can assign you to the project that is in need of the most volunteer support.
Volunteers will be asked to bring tools based on their volunteer assignment (determined once registered), gardening or work gloves. Participants are encouraged to wear t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, or other clothing that identifies their group.
The morning agenda for Saturday, April 24 is as follows:
- 8:45 a.m. - Check in at project site
- 9:00 a.m. - Welcome and project Instructions
- 9:10 a.m. – Volunteers commence project tasks
Volunteers must register in advance. On-site registration will not be available.
Register online via the City’s website or download registration form and return the form by mail or fax. All individuals will be required to sign a waiver.
Many thanks for any support you can provide.
