Back in the day, before I had kids in tow, IHOP was one of my favorite places to eat!. Affordable and delicious food is what I remembered most with ample serving sizes and flexible restaurant hours. So when I was given the chance to go try out their new HOLIDAY MENU with my kids I couldn’t resist!
After much anticipation, we visited the Tacoma IHOP and were delighted to see The Elf on the Shelf was the theme for the HOLIDAY MENU! I am a fan of IHOP and the kids are fans of The Elf on the Shelf so it was pretty exciting to merge these two things into one!
Apparently, a significant part of The Elf on the Shelf tradition is the Welcome Back Breakfast. The moment every year when each family’s Scout Elf returns home for the holidays. Who knew, right?
Welcome Back Breakfast
The year, IHOP invites guests across the country to join in the world’s largest Welcome Back Breakfast event ever, hosted in honor of IHOP’s special holiday guests- the Scout Elves. The Breakfast celebration will kick off #ScoutElfReturnWeek starting on November 29 and ending on Sunday, December 1st, kids who visit participating IHOP locations will receive a special Elf-Themed activity sheet along with their meal!
KIDS EAT FREE
A big bonus for parents this holiday season is that KIDS EAT FREE now through January 1, 2020! This offer is good for kids ages 12 and under with the purchase of an adult entree. Yes, this includes The Elf on the Shelf menu!
Our experience was pretty terrific. The food was served in a timely manner and was as beautiful as the menu presented it to be. The food was absolutely amazing and totally fitting for the holiday season. Personally, I would love to make this a tradition so I hope IHOP and The Elf on the Shelf do this every year!
