Do your kids play Minecraft at home? Did you know that Minecraft is the second best selling digital game of all time (behind Tetris!)? Millions of people of all ages enjoy building, crafting, exploring, and creating in Minecraft’s 3D block environment. You might be familiar with how engaged children can be in game-based experiences. But what about game-based learning?

Phygital Labs is all about creating learning experiences using digital tools and physical environments. Educators of all types (homeschoolers too) are invited to join the Phygital Labs team at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma on May 11 to learn Minecraft – inside a digital version of the museum itself! Participants will become familiar with Minecraft functions that help students learn about math, science, history, language, and more while playing the game with guidance from expert facilitators.

Phygital Labs is pleased to partner with Minecraft Education to offer attendees a day of training in how to use Minecraft for education, lunch, a Minecraft world and lessons to take home, and a free ticket to Minefaire as part of this experience. STEM clock hours are also available!
